Activities
- Kangaroo Valley offers a wide range of nature and cultural activities:
- Bush Walking: There are over 265 bush walks to take; National Parks & Wildlife Services have published a walking guide which can be purchased at Fitzroy Falls Visitors Centre.
- Swimming: Beautiful village pool (25 metres) with shaded paddling pool, showers and toilets in Kangaroo Valley Village. There are opportunities to swim in the Kangaroo River at Bendella and Lake Yurrunga.
- Canoeing: Several hire companies in Kangaroo Valley Village and Close to Barrengarry.
- Mountain biking: There are places to hire mountain bikes in Kangaroo Valley Village.
- Birdwatching: over 150 species of birds and 15 species of bats.
- Wildlife: evenings visitors can see Grey Kangaroos and Common Wombats at Bendeela Camping Ground. Please do not feed the animals or make loud noises.
- Museum: Early White Settlers museum by Hampden Bridge.
- Produce: there are vineyards and olive producers which encourage tastings
